Admissions arrangements for September 2018

The process for applying for Y7 in September 2018 opened on Monday 11 September 2017. The deadline to apply is Tuesday 31 October 2017.

Our Open Evening is on Thursday 28 September 2017 at 6 – 9pm and our Open Mornings are on Tuesday 3 to Tuesday 10 October 2017. We will are taking bookings for the open mornings to book click here.

The school operates its admission arrangements as part of the coordinated admission scheme operated by West Sussex County Council. All parents are encouraged to apply using the online application system at www.westsussex.gov.uk/admissions.

Admission to the school at age of transfer in September is handled by the West Sussex County Council Pupil Admissions Service. The admission process for starting in September 2018 has opened and the deadline to apply for a place is Tuesday 31st October 2017. All on time application places will be offered to parents in March 2018 and the Pupil Admissions Service will then deal with late applications. For more information, you can email them at admissions.south@westsussex.gov.uk. All main round offers for Y7 Secondary places are handled by West Sussex Pupil Admissions and then we then admit a student based on their offer.

In year admissions for 2017/18 are handled directly by the school. If you wish to apply now for a place during this academic year the first step is to complete an in-year application form, you can download the BSW In Year Admission Form 2017 -18 and send it to us at info@bohuntworthing.com.

Places are offered based on adhering to the following admission criteria:

  1. Looked after children
  2. Children with medical or social issues
  3. Children of staff
  4. Children in Worthing, with siblings already in school, by closest distance first
  5. Children in Worthing, no siblings already in school, by closest distance first
  6. Children outside Worthing, with siblings already in school, by closest distance first
  7. Children outside Worthing, no siblings already in school, by closest distance first
