Dear parents and carers,
With the changing situation in Italy the NHS released further advice to the public today relevant to the current press coverage of the Coronavirus and our recent ski trip to Sestriere on the border with France in Northern Italy. We remain aware of the Government guidance issued to the public and especially to schools to ensure vigilance in handling this outbreak.

states that, if you have returned from Northern Italy since 19 February AND develop symptoms such as a cough and fever, you should stay indoors at home and avoid contact with other people immediately and call NHS111. It goes on to say that you do not need to follow this advice if you have no symptoms.
We have contacted all parents from the ski trip with this information and will monitor the situation in school too. We have also placed a call for further advice to NHS111 with details of our trip including our departure from Italy on 20th February. If this leads to further guidance we will inform you immediately.
I would urge parents of all students, especially those who were on the ski trip or spent any of half term in highlighted parts of the world, to be familiar with this guidance and take the recommended actions if appropriate.
