The DofE award is the world’s leading youth achievement award – pushing personal boundaries, gaining new skills and enhancing young people’s CVs and university applications. There are three levels of the award: Bronze, Silver and Gold. In the 2017/2018 school year, the Bronze Award was launched for the pupils in year 10 with 35 students completing that year and 12 going on to complete their Silver Award the following year. We had another 80 students complete their Bronze Award in the past academic year, with 40 signed up to complete their Award this year.
We are delighted to offer the first collaborative DofE training website, aimed at helping all our students complete their DofE Award. The site focuses on student learning, walking them through each aspect of Expedition training; first aid, route planning, expedition kit and packing, etc. It provides individual feedback on completed sections and provides a certificate of recognition at the end of each section.
