We are very excited to be able to offer the ‘Girls on Board’ programme at Bohunt, which is a restorative justice style project, aimed at supporting our girls to make the right choices after disputes.
The programme involves an initial hour long session delivered to all the girls in the year group, which are being led by two of our staff trained in the Girls in Board methodology, Miss Brugnoli and Miss Poole. After this initial contact, the aim is then to use the Girls on Board philosophy to deal with any disputes between girls, so that any conflict is addressed and the girls resolve their issues in a calm and mature manner.
The long term plan is for all year groups to have an opportunity for this support programme, so our initial sessions were aimed at years 8 and 9, with the other year groups having their sessions at the start of the next academic year.
