At Bohunt School Worthing, we bring IT & Computing to the forefront of the curriculum. They develop both creativity and logical thinking – skills that are vital for life in today’s technology-focused world. In key stage three, students are taught a variety of topics ranging from programming, hardware and digital graphics allowing them to make an informed decision when it comes to choosing their options at GCSE.
At KS4, students can choose between GCSE Computing and Creative iMedia. In Computing, they learn about computing theory, hardware, software, databases and programming, including working with programming in Python. Creative iMedia looks at developing student’s skills in how they plan for the release of a product along with completing coursework which uses those skills and allows them to be creative by creating such products as book covers, comic strips, promotional videos, websites and more.
Students have a choice of extracurricular activities, including the annual LEGO Robotics competition with Tomorrow’s Engineers, eSports tournaments in school which lead on to regional/national finals where students also learn about careers in eSports and Code Club that runs in our extra Friday sessions.
